We try to import some audio files (wav-format) in our application. It doesn't work. We try it with 44,1 kHz and 48,0 kHz. Which requirements need the soundfiles to work? Are there any reservations by the amplitude? Can everybody help us? Please, it's very urgent!

Normally there are no problems with WAV files. Could you please post the error message and a small example file? Have you tried the sound example in the X3D test set?

Please note that only mono audio files are rendered spatially correct.

What operating system do you use? On Linux InstantPlayer sometimes crashes on exit and locks the audio device.

My experience has been that Instant Player will not play wav files that have been compressed. I don't know if that was part of the original poster's issue or not. Sound isn't my forte.
