Hello, I have the OculusRift DK2  in Windows 7, SDK and runtime V 0.8 and InstantReality V 2.6.0.

It works with the  examples of Oculus and X3DOM. But when I try it with the example of instantreality, that I have modified to use the DK2 (I have changed the type of the node OculusRift to OculusRift2), I get an error when it creates the OculusRift2 node.

In the InstantIO web interface I get:

Nr   Name      Type      State
1   OculusRift2   OculusRift2   Error       stop
2   Web      Web      Running   stop

If I create the node manually with the InstantIO, it is done correctly and shows te following state:

Nr   Name   Type      State
1   ovr   OculusRift2   Sleeping       stop
2   Web   Web      Running      stop

Moreover, the console of the instant player shows:

LOG   Avalon    Init: 12/286, V2.6.0 build: R-28726 Sep 30 2015 Windows x86_64
FATAL   S3    Unknown S3 backend default; can not create
WARNING   S3    Could not create S3 backend: default
LOG   Avalon    Remove RenderAction
LOG   Avalon    Remove RenderAction
LOG   Avalon    Remove RenderAction
LOG   Avalon    CDF parsing (0.162s): 631 Node-Types defined

How can I solve this problem?

Hello jgnico,

I am facing exactly the same issue with Instant Player v 2.8.0, Windows 7, Nvidia Quadro K2000M with driver 364.72. I have a DK2 with Oculus Runtime v1.8.0.  It works fine with X3DOM + WebVR 1.0 examples and other Oculus examples, the issue comes only with Instant Reality. Kindly post the solution if you were able to find one.

Thanks,
jagsi
