Hello,

I encountered a problem by converting a VRML file to X3D.
I have a warning "Warning Avalon There is already NodeName node DEFined in nameSpace for..." during the conversion.

In my VRML file:
"DEF NodeName Transform
...
DEF NodeName Transform
...
DEF NodeName Transform
..."

And my output X3D file:
"<Transform>
...
<Transform>
...
<Transform DEF="NodeName">
..."

Is it possible (i didn't find an option in the converter) to keep all node name even if they are already defined?
To have my output X3D file like that:
"<Transform DEF="NodeName">
...
<Transform DEF="NodeName">
...
<Transform DEF="NodeName">
..."

Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for my english level Wink

Hello Yubz,

DEF names are unique identifiers to the system. If you have names which have been defined already they are thrown away and replaced by internal unique names, which is why you don't get the output you want.

Please rename your nodes with unique names.

Cheers

Thanks you for your reply tfranke.

Unfortunately i want to perform a javascript treatment on every node with name "NodeName" that's why i don't want to lose the node name already defined.

Yubz.
